These are arm warmers that I made for myself, knitted from cotton crochet thread. They're light, nonscratchy, and smooth. I saw a girl in Kensington Market that was my inspiration; but she had knitted hers out of a chunky multicoloured wool and I thought I would prefer thin ones with a pattern. It took a while to come up with a pattern that I liked, but I came up with one that not only looks good, but is also a math joke. (I'm knitting a scarf with the same pattern so it should be more obvious then.)
They keep my arms warm during all those hours in front of a computer so I don't have to wear a sweater.
"Arm warmers? Aren't those just called 'sleeves'?"

A while back I tried to learn how to knit, but my grandmother wouldn't help me, I've also tried to read some books, but I've never really gotten the hang of it.
Btw, very cute arm warmers, I love the colors.

ahAAA! Fibbonacci numbers! 1, 1, 2, 3, 5... right? I dunno why, but I've always loved fibbonacci numbers... they're just COOL!
How many stitches did you use casting on?

"Go on your email!" "Why do you want me to go on my email? We're already talking." "Because I can type better than I can talk when I'm eating, and I just found my mom's Peanut Butter Toffees." "Ah. Going on email ASAP."
They are just cool, and they make for a pattern that seems just random enough...
I don't remember how many stitches I cast on, it was more that I measured my arm to see how many inches I would need, and then cast a few stitches to see how many I had in an inch. Thanks for the fave, as well! ^_^
o0o0o this has inpired me. tough the sad part is, is that it takes me forever to make stuff like that. mainly the part about coming up with the shape and the stiches of it all mixed together. =\ but kudos to you! =3
Thanks for the comment and the fave! But these really aren't that hard. I just measured from my knuckles to my elbow, and around. I made a rectangle, sewed it up one side with a space for a thumb hole, and voila! Very simply. Remembering the sequence was a little tougher, there was a lot of stopping and counting.
